Today as you know horror isn’t like what it used to be. From the character choices, to the story telling they have their issues. So I believe what will make them good today is when writing what ever we put our passion into, we pretend like we are in the story and explore every view of it. I feel most screenplay written today is like people are taking a shot at a half thought out idea and they just wanna see where it goes or they recreate something that was bad or already ok. To truly make a good horror film we need to understand peoples fear and what gets under their skin. Things like pure darkness, anxiety driven situations, unsettling situations, or real events that can happen. These are all good mixtures to make a film worth watching and having people we care about not die. feel free to express your opinion because this is an open discussion base.
